Creating Generation Healthy
The MAOT pageant was nothing short of OUTSTANDING, thanks to all of the many volunteers that work to put this show together. Congratulations to Miss Alabama OT, Jessica Baeder, for being selected to represent us as Miss America's Outstanding Teen. Fun fact, her platform Healthy Food For All, is very similar to mine... Creating Generation Healthy :) Congratulations also to our very own Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen, Emily Schumacher for doing a great job representing us at MAOT. She was a stand out on stage among the other contestants, so I am not at all surprised that she made top 12, and was honored as America's Choice. So proud of her for giving her all. Only one girl out of 51 walked away with a new crown, the other 50 kept the state crown they already had, and along with new friendships, scholarships, memories and experience they all left with more than they came there with. Even I walked away with something, as I was fortunate enough to attend this years MAOT in Orlando, FL. What was it? Let's just say I have big goals for my last year as a Teen title holder... Dreams and Dedication are a Powerful Combination!
