Chili Challenge

I had the pleasure of attending the Coon Rapids Chili challenge last night, where local service groups squared off for some fun and delicious competition.  All proceeds from the event are donated to Hope 4 Youth for purchase of Stovetop FireStops. I was able to sample all 9 different chili recipes, even one with chocolate chips in the recipe. The following Organizations who competed for bragging rights were:​ Transformative Circle, Coon Rapids Fire Department, Coon Rapids Kiwanis, Coon Rapids North Star Lions Club, Coon Rapids Lions Club, Coon Rapids Police Department, Coon, Rapids Rotary Club, Coon Rapids VFW, Coon Rapids Women of Today.  Congratulations to the Woman of Today for winning.  Below are some photos of Northern Lights Princess, Alivia and I along with the ambassador, mayor and some of the contestants.  This was honestly so much fun and the people of this community have been unbelievably welcoming.  A big shout out to my director, Theresa Leggate for chaperoning me for the evening!
